What our elderly home assistance includes
Our caregivers provide daily, non-medical assistance to elderly people, respecting their pace and habits. This includes bathing assistance (bath, shower, dressing and personal hygiene), meal preparation (balanced meals adapted to dietary needs and hydration) and mobility assistance — transfers from bed to chair, walking support and fall prevention. Our caregivers also handle accompaniment to medical appointments, daily errands and help with paperwork. This is help with daily living, not medical care: for any medical need — wound dressings, injections, IV therapy — please call on our home nurse, with whom our caregivers coordinate their presence when needed.
Preserving autonomy and dignity at home in Marrakech
Staying at home helps preserve the dignity and familiar bearings of an elderly person. Your loved ones keep their familiar surroundings — their riad, their Marrakech neighbourhood, their neighbours and their memories — which supports wellbeing and morale. Our caregivers respect each person's routines, with genuine cultural sensitivity: Moroccan customs, prayer times, preparation of halal meals and respect for the ways of the household. All our staff are trained in bientraitance (respectful, caring treatment), attentive listening and respect for privacy, so every visit unfolds with trust and gentleness. The goal is simple: to let your loved one age well at home, surrounded and supported.
Day and night sitting in Marrakech
We offer day sitting for families who work and cannot stay with their loved one during the day, as well as night sitting for seniors who need a presence and assistance at night — getting up, moving around, feeling reassured. Schedules are flexible and adapted to your needs, whether one-off or regular. Wherever possible, we ensure continuity with the same caregiver to build lasting trust. After each visit, a report is shared with the family, for complete peace of mind, wherever you are.
Elderly assistance for expat families in Marrakech
Marrakech is home to many expat retirees living in the villas of the Palmeraie, as well as aging parents of the Moroccan diaspora living alone while their children reside abroad. Our multilingual caregivers (French, Arabic) provide suitable daily assistance and coordinate with family abroad through regular reports. Whether your loved one lives in Gueliz, the Palmeraie or the Medina, you stay informed and reassured, even thousands of kilometres away. For any medical follow-up or health check, we can also arrange a visit from a home doctor.
Our commitment: quality and trust
SAMU Marrakech operates on a managed model: our staff are hired and trained directly by us, not simply matched through a marketplace. Every caregiver is background-checked and works under the supervision of our coordinators. If a caregiver becomes unavailable, a replacement is guaranteed to ensure continuity of assistance. We carry out regular quality assessments and strictly respect the privacy and home of every family. Our priority: reliable, human and lasting support.
