Medical Transport in Marrakech

Medical transport — or sanitary transport — is not the same as an emergency response. It covers the planned, safe transfer of a patient whose condition needs monitoring or medical assistance during the journey, but without an immediate life threat. For life-threatening emergencies, see our private ambulance service. Important: SAMU Marrakech is a private service; we are not the public emergency medical service nor a state emergency number. Our private ambulances carry the patient in a suitable position, under the supervision of trained staff, to the destination facility, airport or home.

Our private medical-transport ambulances are equipped for patient monitoring during the journey: stretcher, oxygen, vital-signs monitoring equipment and safety devices. Depending on the patient's condition and the prescription, the transport is accompanied by trained staff — a paramedic and, if needed, a nurse — to monitor vital signs and manage oxygen therapy or an ongoing infusion. We match the vehicle and escort to the required level of medicalisation. For tourists and expats, our multilingual team (English, French, Arabic) coordinates the transport with your travel insurance or repatriation assistance, with the documents needed for reimbursement.
